I met foreigner visitors who said " we came to Japan and we must see temples, lady in kimono, traditonal Ryokan, hot springs, Snow Monkeys and BONSAI"
In that time I realised how important Bonsai is in Japanese culture and took them to the BONSAI GARDEN close by.
I had no interest and no knowladge about Bonsai, but I was amazed from this palce, and talking all afternoon about it....so I have to share it with you... I can not imagine what would a "bonsai mania people" do after visiting this place. It's very nice designed japanese garden and everywhere around are just amazing shaped bonsais in many sizes.

Who is Mr. Shinji Suzuki?
Shinji Suzuki is most famous Japanese Bonsai master, very well known not only in Japan, but around whole World... of corse together with his master pieces, which you can see im many magazines or international art displays.
Mr. Suzuki is multi-winner of National Prime minister award, Japanese Bonsai assotiation award,
Agriculture minister award, designer of several Japanese gardens (for example. National TV station, Samsung ....)

What can you see there?
You can see here his colleciton of original awarded master pieces + other more than 1000 incledibly beautiful bonsais. From the size of 10cm up to 2meter high, from few years old up to 400 years old bonsais, from 200 dollars up to  200.000 dollars expensive bonsais....
The most famous doesnt have value, bcs. is not for sale - Mr. Suzuki declined offer half-million dollars.

Where is it?
Shinji Suzuki's Bonsai garden is in Obuse town, which is 20min by car from Yudanaka Shibu Onsen area.
